DUAL EXPANSION OF FRESH START
Even though we are in the very challenging “Season of the Skinny Cows,” we are excited to initiate the dual expansion of Fresh Start.
“A Place Called Home,” the first Fresh Start facility for women will be totally ready for occupants shortly after July 4. The bathroom in one of the apartments set aside for a woman with her children is almost complete. As soon as funds are released and this work finished, our first female Fresh Start students will be welcomed to “A Place Called Home.”
The 20 bed expansion of the men’s Fresh Start dorm at 2414 Bull Street should be permitted the week of June 30 and the refurbishing project will be underway immediately. The Mission is fortunate to have its new Director of Facilities and Operations, Mr. Bill Stiles to oversee the renovations. Bill brings incredible gifts to the tasks of overseeing not only this project, but all of the Mission Facilities & Operations as well as its Industrial component. Well aboard, Bill and now ¡manos a la obra!
